Germany is ranked 5th on the Worldbank鈥檚 Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy (RISE) index that compares states鈥� policies and regulations in the energy sector. Countries are scored using 27 indicators in the three pillars energy access, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. 鈥淩ISE provides a reference point to help policymakers benchmark their sector policy and regulatory framework against those of regional and global peers, and a powerful tool to help develop policies and regulations that advance sustainable energy goals,鈥� says the website. Denmark is in first place, followed by Canada, the United States and the Netherlands.
