WirtschaftsWoche / BMWi
The Green Party鈥檚 energy minister in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Franz Untersteller, has lamented a 鈥渟tandstill of federal energy policy鈥 ahead of a meeting of state energy ministers with Germany鈥檚 economy and energy minister Peter Altmaier (CDU), reports the WirtschaftsWoche. Lower Saxony鈥檚 minister Olaf Lies (SPD) said: "The whole energy policy lacks coordination - across national and departmental borders. Grid expansion cannot succeed without a federal plan.鈥 In a press release, Altmaier urged the country鈥檚 federal states to 鈥減ull together鈥 with the federal government to ensure a swift expansion of the national power grid. He said the task now was to implement decisions made at the ministry鈥檚 鈥grid summit鈥 in September.
