Germany remains leader in renewables employment in Europe

Renewable energy employed about 334,000 people in Germany in 2016, making the country the European leader, according to the report 鈥淩enewable Energy and Jobs 鈥� Annual Review 2017鈥� by International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). China, Brazil, the United States, India, Japan and Germany accounted for most of the renewable energy jobs worldwide. The shift to Asia continued, with 62 percent of the global total located in the continent, says IRENA.
