Germany鈥檚 natural gas imports rise by nearly 20 percent since January

Imports of natural gas to Germany rose by 19.5 percent between January and August 2017 compared to the same period last year, the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (Bafa) says in a press release. The country imported 3,060,298 terajoule of natural gas worth 14.3 billion euros. At the same time, the price for imported gas rose by 14.2 percent compared to the 2016 period, the Bafa says.
