Germany鈥檚 former solar power champion SolarWorld ceases production

The last factory of Germany鈥檚 former solar power champion SolarWorld in the eastern German state of Saxony has ceased production, Frank Hommel writes in the newspaper Freie Presse. 鈥淭he last remaining materials have been used up, the last solar panel has been produced,鈥� he says. Andre Dobiey, the insolvency administrator of the company that declared bankruptcy in March, says production at the Saxony plant 鈥渉as been put on hold,鈥� adding that panel production could be resumed once a new investor has been found.
