States call for better federal government support for urban energy transitions

The council of federal state governments (Bundesrat) has called on the German government to remove several regulatory hurdles for renewables support in cities. In their decision, the states said they want the government to better support tenant electricity projects and call for combined heat and power (CHP) to be used more intelligently. The federal government can now decide whether or not to take up the states鈥� demands.
