After the city of Münster and insurance company Allianz, the city of Stuttgart in southern Germany is now also divesting from coal, reports Susanne Preuß in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The city’s public money will only be invested in funds and shares of companies that aren’t involved in coal mining, oil and natural gas exploitation (including fracking) and nuclear energy.
