Germany's clean air programmes for cities will become "export hits" - transport min

Speaking to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung鈥檚 Kerstin Schwenn, German transport minister Andreas Scheuer said Germany would see a transport turnaround as his ministry seeks to implement its 鈥渆mergency programme for clean air,鈥 which includes 1 billion euros slated for electromobility, the digitisation of municipal transport systems, and the retrofitting of urban diesel buses. While he opposes diesel car bans in major cities, Scheuer predicts the country鈥檚 clean air programmes will nevertheless become 鈥渆xport hits鈥 for other major cities around the world.
