G20 agriculture ministers seek more sustainable water use
G20 agriculture ministers called for more sustainable use of resources in a joint declaration following the first G20 ministers meeting under the current German presidency. 鈥淚n light of the growing global population and the goals of the Agenda 2030, agriculture must deal with the available resources in a more productive, sustainable and responsible manner,鈥 said German agriculture minister Christian Schmidt in a press release. The joint declaration also highlighted the relationship between agriculture and climate change. The ministers committed to supporting the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
