Energy industry increases revenue by 6.5 percent in 2017
The companies in the energy, water and waste management sector increased their sales in 2017 by 6.5 percent compared to 2016, Germany鈥檚 Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) . Sales in the industry rose for the first time in five years. Investments were 1.9 percent higher in 2017 and the number of employees grew by 3.4 percent to just under 452,000.
