Energy independence increasingly important to Germans

Independence from oil and gas imports is an important goal of the energy transition, according 86 percent of Germans responding to a recent representative survey commissioned by heating company Stiebel Eltron. That’s a 10 percentage point increase compared to 2018, . 91 percent said saving COâ‚‚ to protect the climate was an important goal, and 81 percent said the same of giving up coal.
