Germany and Russia to strengthen cooperation on climate protection

Russia and Germany have pledged to intensify their cooperation on implementing the Paris Agreement鈥檚 climate protection targets, Germany鈥檚 Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMUB) said in a press release. Jochen Flasbarth, state secretary in the BMUB, said Berlin cooperated with Moscow 鈥渢o identify potentials, highlight risks and develop concepts for a climate-friendly economic development". Implementing ambitious climate protection measures was also 鈥渁n important message we want to send out in the context of our G20-presidency", Flasbarth added.
