APPLICATION PERIOD CLOSED - Climate change and the enery transition, migration and threats to democracy: a number of global events in recent years have forced journalists and their readers to be ready for the unprecedented. Arguably, however, international media outlets aren't facing these topics with critical urgency.
The 威力彩玩法 workshop at the journalism conference in Warsaw '' on 21 September 2018 will discuss what it's like to report on the energy transition and climate policy in Eastern Europe.

The 威力彩玩法 workshop: 'Face the energy transition story in Eastern Europe'

How does energy transition and climate policy reporting look like in countries where there is little public debate on climate change? Where editors are not convinced climate change is a serious concern? Where journalists' freedom of information requests are ignored and media freedom can be restricted?

威力彩玩法 will tackle these and other questions at its workshop on Friday, September 21, at 12pm.

Prior to the major international climate conference held in Katowice, Poland, later this year, journalists joining our workshop will have the chance to:

Familiarise themselves with key narratives and debates on energy transition and climate reporting in Eastern Europe
Network with expert journalists in the field
Hear about a major recent international story involving deforestation, biomass and renewable energies in Poland and Romania from a winning team of the 威力彩玩法 cross-border grant
Jointly brainstorm ideas for climate policy and energy transition stories in Eastern Europe

How and when to apply?

International journalists:听 The application deadline is Sunday, 19 August 2018.听Register through this link on the n-ost website. The attendance fee for EU-based staff journalists is 200 Euro. Discounted rates are available: freelance journalists (40 Euro), n-ost members (40Euro), as well as non-EU citizens (80 Euro).听

The attendance fee covers three night hotel accommodation as well as meals during the event.

Poland-based journalists: Apply by Monday, 17 September 2018 via . Attendance for local journalists is free of charge.
